What is ISS?
The REDinc Communities for Children, In-School Support (ISS) program receives funding from the Department of Social Services. Its primary objective is to aid children from local schools in Lismore to enhance their social and emotional well-being.
The program adopts a family and community-oriented approach and employs individualised support and group activities to foster students’ confidence, resilience, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, interpersonal skills, and life skills.
Additionally, the program collaborates with the local Police and PCYC to organise before and after-school activities, and school holiday programs for the children from the identified primary schools. The program is managed by a Coordinator holding a Social Welfare degree, a certified NSW teacher, and a support worker.
