What is SLES?

SLES, or the School Leaver Employment Supports, is a form of support funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) that aims to assist young people in finding meaningful employment. At REDinc, we provide individualised support tailored to the specific needs and goals of each person.

Our workshops and activities cover a wide range of topics, including;

  • Getting your driving licence
  • Workplace and social communication skills
  • Resume and interview practice
  • Study support
  • Financial literacy
  • Skills needed to maintain employment
  • Finding training providers that best suit your learning styles to help you get the qualifications you need to work in your chosen field

We also provide:

  • Work experience/on-the-job training
  • Vocational assessment
  • Employer morning teas – informal meet and greet with local employers
  • Advanced Driver Training
  • Barista Training
  • Money handling and retail EFTPOS skills

Who can access SLES?

SLES is available to NDIS participants who are leaving or have recently left school and are looking for extra support to transition to the workforce. SLES falls under the Finding and Keeping a Job category of NDIS funding.
